Prof. Avner Yayon, Ph.D., M.D.
Founder and CEO
Prof. Yayon is a pioneer and world-renown researcher in polypeptide growth factors, the extracellular matrix and the mechanisms underlying human skeletal disorders. He was the scientific founder of ProChon Biotech Ltd. and served as its President and CSO since 1996. ProChon developed an advanced cartilage repair product, BioCart™II and was later acquired by Histogenics. Prof. Yayon holds a Ph.D. and M.D. from the Hebrew University and Hadassah Medical School of Jerusalem. He served as a Research Associate in the department of surgical research at Harvard Medical School, and as Associate Professor of Molecular Cell Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science.
Meital Ben-Dayan Bloch Ph.D.
New Product Development, Project Manager
Meital leads Procore’s new product specification and optimization efforts. Prior to joining the company, Meital was a research manager of a multidisciplinary joint research program between the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, designing a novel diagnostic platform for tracing residual malignant tissues in cytoreductive surgery. Meital holds a Ph.D. from the Institute for Drug Research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Faculty of Medicine.
Eran Ovadya, MBA

Eran has more than 15 years of experience in Biotech and Medical Device industries with a professional track record from 1 st tier global corporations. Eran is a dynamic, innovative results oriented leader with diverse multinational experience, as of Finance Director and CFO in a privately held companies, IPOs, Public area, and Global Corporates. Eran has a strong track record of performance in highly competitive environments Great interpersonal skills, and motivating staff (HR, Finance, Legal, Operation and IT) to peak performance. Eran holds an M.B.A in Business Management from the Open University and B.A in Economics and Accounting from the Open University.
Einat Souli, M.Sc. Eng.
Quality Assurance and Preclinical Manager
Einat brings extensive experience in ADME and drug screening processes, managing pre-clinical studies on genotoxicity, safety pharmacology and general toxicity and QA for preclinical studies and regulatory submissions. Prior to joining Procore, Einat was a non-clinical R&D safety project manager and worked in preclinical QA at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries. Einat holds a M.Sc. and Eng. from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology’s Food and Biotechnology Engineering Faculty.
Orit Pollack-Shragai, M.Sc., MBA
Director of Clinical Operations
Orit joined Procore in 2018 bringing over two decades of experience in the biomedical field, both in academia and industry. Prior to joining Procore Orit served as a CRA, Project Manager and Clinical Research Manager including project management of international clinical trials at a leading CRO firm. Orit holds a B.Sc. in Food Engineering and Biotechnology from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology’s Food and Biotechnology Engineering Faculty, a M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MBA from the College of Management Academic Studies.
Production and Operation Manager
Eilat is a seasoned biotech professional and has extensive experience in product development and operations, transfer of technology and production to sites in the U.S. and Europe for clinical trials and manufacturing. Prior to joining Procore, Eilat served as Director of Operations at Hemostemix Ltd. and before that led the cell therapy unit at Macrocure Ltd. and Theravitae Ltd. Eilat holds a B.Sc. in Biology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
